I'm almost 32 weeks pregnant and I'm starting to develop the waddle. All of a sudden there's so much pressure I feel like the baby's head is just sitting right between my legs. I guess I'm carrying low. I feel silly sometimes but there's nothing I can do, I seriously feel like one big sneeze and this baby is going to fall out :) When I was pregnant with my son I never waddled, I never felt like this. He was a cute little basket ball out in front of me.
So did you develop the pregnant lady waddle? Was is different with baby boys Vs. girls or 1st pregnancies Vs. later ones?
I love everyones answers. It's making me laugh thinking of all of us waddling around.
Thank you!

I waddled with my first. I don't remember when it started, but I think it was around where you are. He was a boy, my first, and was a big baby (9 lbs., 8oz.).
I'll probably end up waddling this time around, too. But I don't mind, it's more comfortable then trying to walk normal, haha!
:)

Lol, cute post. Yes I waddle with my second one, I also get up on one side first and at one point sneezing was so scary not only for my baby to born but more for me to pee because of the sneeze, lol.

I'm not sure if I waddled. But I sure didn't have the basketball going. I gained so much weight all over my body that I didn't even look pregnant. When I went to the hospital for my C-section the cab driver thought I was a nurse and going to work.

Well I have had a little waddle with all three pregnancies. I don't get very big and I carry my babies high but I get horrible horrible hip pain and sciatic nerve pain so toward the end I have a limp/waddle just to help take the pressure off my hips. So yeah it's normal.

I'm starting to alter my gait a bit and I"m 26 weeks. Your gravity center changes so it's normal to waddle or to walk in a way to make it easier and less painful.
I was 26 y/o with my first pregnancy and I'm sure I waddled later in the pregnancy... this time I'm 31 y/o and I'm working full time as a Nurse... so waddling makes it easier for me.

My daughter just delivered and her chronic complaint the last month was the same as yours. She carried low and felt that the baby would just fall out. She also had more pain towards the end with this one than her previous two. She didn't waddle nearly so bad with them. The first two were a girl and a boy. No difference there. This one is a girl and she felt that she carried her differently, ie. very low.

I still waddle sometimes and my son is almost 6 months... If you read my last post you'd understand how clumsy I am... Waddling feels safer.

I waddled so much that I still did it after my daughter was born. A few times after my daughter was born I would find myself waddling out of habit. Rest assured though, it does go away.
Congrats on such a special time!

Oh yes, I waddled early on with my twins. Now, I'm 29 weeks with my little girl and I started waddling earlier because I had so much discomfort and pressure. I fee silly, but it's a part of what we go through!

Nope.
I only made it to 36 weeks though, so maybe that has something to do with it. I do remember having to rub my belly after a big meal so it wouldn't feel like it was going to burst! ;)
Hope this helps.

Yep, I waddled big time. I think with all three pregnancies, but especially the last. I was so uncomfortable that I walked (waddled) so slowly which made it even more ridiculous-looking. But hey, your're 32 weeks pregnant so go ahead and waddle on!

I just have my son, but I waddled. My joints and pelvis were loosening up in preparation for giving birth. My hips were grinding and walking was rather painful. The loose joints lasted till roughly 3 weeks after my son was born.

Im 35 weeks. Look just like a penguin when I walk. My husband was so kind to point that out. I dont know if it has anything to do with gender. Just maybe the size of the baby. Im 5'3 and like to have 9 Ib babies. :)

Nope- never waddled. Currently in 36th week with Baby #3 in 4 years -- still a cute little basketball (on the way to becoming a watermelon) in my belly. I wear a maternity support belt though because I like the supported feeling....so maybe that is why.
