Hi moms, alright well we used to buy the Target brand of diapers. They have gone up a dollar, well i know its just a dollar but now they are only like 9 bucks from Huggies and Pampers. Target 6.49-Huggies and Pampers 10.99 and sometimes on sale for 8.00. So what kinda diapers does everyone use and where are the best deals. Just an FYI. I HATE WAL-MART and will not shop there. But anywhere else I will. Thanks in advance moms!!

we have 2 kids & have tried almost every brand there is, looking for something comfortable, RELIABLE, and that is a good bargain. i hate spending so much money and landfill space on diapers & pullups!!

we have used a combination of cloth & disposables. cloth is an expensive initial outlay but once you have them they are no more pricey than any other laundry you would have to do. there are tons of diaper websites where you can order them, and if you do, i highly recommend that you get the all-in-one diapers. these have the plastic liner already attached. we settled on the bumkins brand, after trying out several kinds. you can get cloth pullups too.

as for disposables i always try to stock up on huggies whenever HEB is having a sale or good coupons. i hate pampers (bad fit for my kids, plus that perfumey smell) and luvs (these just suck). we have had pretty good luck for the HEB brand, at least for home use. they are not as reliable as huggies but they are a lot cheaper. sometimes you can get a good deal at the dollar store but pullups are usually the same price there.

have you tried the grocery game? i just joined it about 2 weeks ago and i like it so far. i have already found some great bargains on huggies, both at walgreens & HEB.

also, i hate walmart too!! just wanted to throw that in there. everyone else i know thinks it is the bomb but give me target any day!

I concur with your thoughts on Walmart. I've checked prices and Albertson's usually has as good prices as some big box retailers (on par w/ Target). If you are not brand loyal, Albertson's has different brands on sale each week (like, a few dollars off!). I have heard that CostCo or Sam's is the best place for lowest price (if you have the time or energy to battle the crowd). l now use Pamper's Cruisers and they have worked the best. I'm breastfeeding and the baby goes thru a LOT of poopy diapers and Pamper's seem to keep have the fewest leaks.

C.,
I buy the box of Pampers Baby Dry from Target and get the best deal on them with coupons. A while back I started an Excel spreadsheet where I listed the prices and quantities of different packages of diapers and from various retailers and found that the Pampers Baby Dry at Target come out to the best bargain. I tried the more expensive ones and couldn't tell a difference with them and the Baby Dry ones so I use those and then buy the Huggies Overnights for nighttime.

Here's a breakdown:
Store Diaper Size Qty. Price Price per diaper
Target Baby Dry 3 104 17.49 0.168173077
Target Baby Dry 3 80 17.49 0.218625
amazon.com Baby Dry 3 180 37.66 0.209222222
amazon.com Baby Dry 3 180 32.011 0.177838889

I did the Sam's club breakdown and found them to be a little higher since they don't take coupons. BY the way, the second Amazon one listed is the subscribe and save service they offer. With that if you sign up for regular diaper delivery (free shipping and no tax) then they give you 15% off which comes out to an amazing deal, even better than diapers.com. You don't have to have them shipped very often and can pick your own timeline. It could even be every 2 weeks or as late as every 3 to 6 months. When I don't have coupons, I do order from Amazon.

Good luck.

I have 2 in diapers and they both have extreme allergies to most diapers. I use Huggies Supreme for day and Huggies Overnights for nap time and night time. I also have to change them no more than every hour. :-) Not fun but it is the only way I can get out of using cloth diapers. I did that with several of my others and did NOT like it.

I order from www.diapers.com. I figure anything that I pay no taxes or delivery charges on is good. With a $50 order, delivery is free and with a $75 order, you get 5% off your next order and free shipping. If you enter referral code: BAPA4104 when you place your first order you get $5 off. With the price of gas, I think this is great. No taxes, no shipping and they are there within a week of ordering. Good luck in whatever you choose. I've been doing this for a while and find it works great for me.

I by Luvs which are a lot cheaper at Target unless I have a coupon on Papmers and buy Huggies Overnights for bedtime.
A lot of times you can go to the dollar store and get Luvs REALLY cheap.

Good Luck

I prefer Huggies, but if you want to compare prices from several sources, you can log onto diapers.com.

They offer free shipping if you spend $45 or $50 (I can't remember which). Anway, they break down how much you would spend per diaper for the diapers they carry. I agree with signing up for coupons for whatever brand you choose. They are a huge help, and if I am not mistaken, diapers.com also accepts manufacturers coupons. They also sell other things besides diapers such as wipes, formula, etc.

For me it was about FIT.
At different times in his growth, huggies or pampers either one, fit him better. I never bought store brand... But, I did buy in bulk from Sam's.
GOOD LUCK

I buy the huggies from sams, you can get a bigger box cheaper, not sure what size your son is wearing, mine is now in a size 5, we get 156 for $34, the smaller the size the more you get, but just to give you an idea. We have tried other pampers also, and i didnt like the luvs, the pampers were ok when they were babies cause they stretched more around the waste, but my oldest was allergic to all except pampers and the walmart brand, my baby was allergic to all except the huggies. So Good Luck, it is hard finding that perfect pamper!! Hope this helped you.

I use LUVS. They now have stretchy tabs. They are almost exactly like Pampers but a ton cheaper. I tried the Target brand and couldn't stand the papery feel.
