My boyfriend and my cat got into one of our condoms and put a whole in it not knowing we put it on...what are the chances im pregnant....and what are the chances our child will come out with a birth defect because of the medicine im on.

This is really a question you need to ask your doctor and pharmacist.

You can google each of your medications and see if the site talks about the possibility of birth defects.

I suggest it's unlikely that you're pregnant. It's more likely if there was a break of several weeks between the end of the 3 months on depo and the beginning of the pill.

I also suggest, based on my daughter's experience, that it's good that you're using birth control. You want to be established as an adult, with a good income and stable relationship. Keeping condoms on the floor isn't a good sign of stability. Just saying.

My daughter had a baby at 20 and 23. She now has one at 30 and says she's much better able to provide for this baby both financially and emotionally.

Your boyfriend AND your cat? So they conspired? This is the strangest question.

You need to speak to a Dr. Any time you have sex, there is a chance for a baby. As far as birth defects...talk with a Dr.

Well, you want to be pregnant right (per your profile)? Don't rely on a condom that has been used as a chew toy if you don't want to be pregnant. Did the cat put it back in the dresser or was it just a condom failure? Talk to your pharmacist about the medications you are taking or google scientific information on the medications.

How can a cat get into the condoms? Do you leave them laying out on the dresser? Just wondering.

How did you figure out it had a hole in it?

Added- After I looked at your profile I noticed you do want a baby, why are you on the pill and using condoms then? Does your boyfriend not want a baby?

Ok? I have taken the depo shot, it was ok but I constantly would spot and would get my "normal" period every 2-3 month's, but everyone has different side effects when it come's to birth control. Now, as for the condom issue? I'm not sure I understood what you wrote but I think you meant that you cat got to the box of comdoms and possibly bit a hole through the foil wrap on the condom? If it were me, I would'nt have used it at all, as for being possibly pregnant, you wouldn't beable to tell right away...Also about the child having a birth defect I don't think that would show until acouple month's of being pregnant. My sister got pregnant 2 time's while she was using the IUD and her boys are fine.....Good Luck!

P.S.S..In your profile your stating that you hope you are pregnant, so why the birth control? Sorry but none of this makes sense to me at all!? Plus your 20 year's old and also state that you have had "complications" in the past??? Huh!? Something is strange about this!?
