I need recommendations for a dentist that does good work. I am looking for one that does root canals, cavity fillings and crowns VERY well. I want someone patient, gentle and understanding of people who hate the dentist.

I am also looking for someone that is a good cosmetic dentist but the filling are more important at this point.

I am afraid I need some fillings since last going in for a checkup.
Thanks
J.

I have the most wonderful dentist in the world.
It is in Austin off of Wells Branch and Mopac
Powell and Tiller, it is a women owed business, so very gentle and understanding. They do not do root canals, they send you to a specialist (Mcguire I think it was) he was also awesome. There are two femal dentist I have used them both but prefer Ada Tiller, here is the # if you are interested 218 - 1130. I hope that helps.

We see Dr. Kelly Hobbs. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him. He does excellent work and is very kind. He takes time to explain his work.

His number is ###-###-####. He is located in north Austin.

Good luck!

I would recommend Dr. Greg Ueckert. My sister in law is the new patient hygienist at his office. She has been in the industry for over 20 years and refuses to work with anyone else, stating he is the best in town. He did work for me last year (I have all my mercury fillings redone) and it was great. She told me about some other doctors (scary sotries). It is my understadning that dentists dont do root canals, that you need a specialist, I think a periodontist??? But Dr. Ueckert works closely with one here in town (some of my info wentto one for review). Also they offer "care Credit" in case you dont have dental insurance. It is an easy way, interest deferred, to pay for thousands of dollars of work. Hope this helps.

I have a great, and patient, dentist. I see Ada Tiller @ Powell & Tiller (http://www.austinfamilydds.com/). She has worked on my whole family which includes: me - 2 rebuilds, 1 root canal and regular cleanings & checks; my 2 kids, with braces, for 3 month cleanings (YUCK!) and a couple of cranky baby teeth that didn't want to move; and finally, my dear husband, who needs deep cleanings 5-6 times a year due to not seeing a dentist in 10 years! I finally got my husband to go in to see her after he saw how gentle she was with the kids. I also like her partner, Juli Powell. Their office is easy to get to as it is just off Mopac/Wells Branch.

We have been seeing our Dentist since he graduated from Dental School. He keeps up with all of the newest techniques and has a great staff. His Hygienist (L.)is the best. He has done all of my dental work, I have terrible teeth, my last filling took less than 15 minutes. My husband and my daughter have never had cavities!

If you will tell them that you are very nervous about dentistry, they are very understanding. I have sent many friends to him when many of them had not been to a dentist since they were children!

Here is his information.

My husband and I use Dr. Farst. I also have been taking my son there since he was 3 1/2 and will soon take my daughter to him as well. I hate going to the dentist, always have. But, they are really wonderful there. Never jugdemental or condescending. My son loves going to the dentist!!! Dr. Farst is a family man and I appreciate that. The hygienists there are also family people and have kids and grandkids of their own and have been wonderful with my son and us. I have had fillings there and really like the work they've done. Again, never condescending or judgemental. His office is on 183 near Discovery Blvd. in a gray building. His number is ###-###-####.

Dr. Vo at Northwest Hills Smiles is phenomenal. She is calming, patient, and wonderful. Her office feels more like a salon than a dentists office. I would highly recommend her!
