A Downtown Dental Care is great. Dr. Lance Bailey's office. Everyone there is great with kids and excellent with teeth. They are downtown on Morrison and 10th.

Dr. Pike is fabulous and only does pediatrics. My daughter went to him at age 3. She was always the shy type, but she took off with the staff while they let her feed the office hamster and then talked to them about all manners of things. The staff are very patient and nurturing-- no fear involved in anything. It was a fantastic first visit and she looks forward to going again. After the first appointment is made, a packet is sent to your house with pointers and a coloring book about Dr. Pike's office that you can review with your child about what to expect at Dr. Pike's office-- so helpful and reassuring!

His office is located off of 26 and I believe the Sylvan exit or thereabouts.

Best of luck!

I'm not sure if he's accepting new patients, however; Doctor Marshall Ruby on SW Cedar Hills Blvd is very, very good with kids. He specializes in pediatric dentistry, so he knows how to deal with children. We tried a couple different dentists for my 3 year old (at the time), before we were recommended to Dr. Ruby. My son leaves the office now (he's almost 5) and says he loves Dr. Ruby! Good sign, I think! Good luck.

We go to Brandon Schwindt that only hanldes Pediatrics. He has video games and movies while they are being treated. He always remembers their birthdays and my daughter love him. I wish he took adults.
He is in Tigard which is a distance for us from SW PDX but we love him.

Dr Allen Pike ###-###-####

Their office is for pediatrics only. They are good about making parents and children feel safe long before anyone opens their mouth. They were able to do a root canal on my boy when he was only 2 without having to hold him down or knocking him out. I sat and read him a book and the dentist was awesome about allowing breaks to happen. They also are recognize for their ability to work with kids with special needs. Our autistic cousin sees Dr Pike. One of the last times I was there a lady had traveled all the way from Albany because their office could accomidate her special needs son.

They have a therapy dog that is occationally there and the hamsters and video games.... I wish they would work on adults too.

I also strongly recommend Dr. Pike. Absolutely wonderful all around (and I have family in the dental care business). My daughter had a great first experience there. Not only do they have a completely kid friendly practice (you can also read his book on the topic), but they are very service oriented and accomodating (nice change for moms and dads too). For example, the other week, my daughter had been complaining about tooth pain (molar). Since she had a cavity watch on a couple of teeth, I was concerned that we may not have arrested the decay and it was developing into a cavity. So, I called Dr. Pike's office after a couple of days and they said to go ahead and bring her in, and gave me a time the very same day. To my relief, it turned out to be a nasty piece of popcorn skin that we were not able to get out with flossing. Whew. No cavity. They were extremely pleasant, and Dr. Pike even double checked all of her teeth while we were there even though they had found the culprit. And, to top it off, they did not charge me for the visit!!!! Wow.

Dr. Karole Wilson is my son's ped dentist. He has behavior issues and they are wonderful with him. He actually likes going to the dentist. She has two more dentists in her office now and they are just as great. They are located at hall and Greenburg in the Commons.
