My 5 year old doesn't sleep deep for very long and it is effecting her behavior, any suggestions, she plays outside a lot and we have a route each night so she is tired but she wakes up, she sores too not loud but with her mouth open, she had a pacifier but she has been rid of that for over 2 plus years. thanks

What can I do next?

Good job mom,

Speak with her doctor, she may need her tonsils removed. It will make a ton of difference.

I agree with seeing an ENT. Snoring is not normal - especially at this age. Other than that, lots of exercise does help...also try some white noise, like the hum of a fan or humidifier (or a white noise machine).

Hi, have you checked on tonsils/adnoids too. My daughter would wake through the night and the slightest sounds would wake her. She snores (crazy loud) talked in her sleep and in turn my husband and I were exhausted. If a check up doesn't reveal anything maybe a sleep specialist could help?
Hope you find an answer soon...I was never so relieved when my daughter finally slept through the night and had a 'normal' day :)
