I see a lot of ads about the Debbie Meyer Green Bags - the bags you use to keep fruits and vegetables fresh for longer (up to 14 days longer). I'm considering trying them because food it getting to be so expensive I hate throwing out so much aged product. Has anyone tried them? Do they work?

Thanks,
J.

So What Happened?

They are receiving mixed reviews but I'm going to go ahead and try them. Since they are available at Bed, Bath and Beyond they will be easy to pick up, and that retailer has a pretty liberal return policy so if they DON'T work I'll return them!

J.,
I was watching Good Morning America and they were talking about those bags. The reporter that tried them only gave it a C-. She said they don't work and not to waste money on them.

I tried them...and for us they really didn't do much...but it might be because I wasn't willing to keep taking the stuff out of the bag to wipe the bag out whenever there would be moisture. Let us know how it works for you!

I'm not sure about the actual brand because I don't have the original packaging. But I did some research last year and found the best deal for some of those bags online. I bought a lot in 3 sizes and absolutely love them. They work very well.

i LOVE these! My sister tried these and did not like them...she said that her fruit was rotting. The only thing we did different was that she came home and cleaned all her fruit and then put them in the bags and i just brought them home threw them in the bags and then cleaned the fruit as i needed it. They are worth the money.

I'm part of a Bunko group and we actually had a discussion about these bags just a couple weeks ago. The verdict - They do not work and aren't worth the money so since I trust my girlfriends...I decided to not waste my money on these. Hope they work for you if you get 'em.

I just bought them at Target and they seem to work pretty well so far. Worth the $10 investment!
