Daycare Anxiety!!!

I went through this a few months ago. When I was pregnant, everyone stressed me out with asking if I had daycare or not. I knew that I wanted an in-home daycare but when I would call and ask if they had an opening, they would need it filled right away. So I finally just relaxed and had our baby and looked during my maternity leave. I found a great daycare I am very happy with through the Pioneer Press website.

Do not let the stress of finding a daycare right away take away from the joy of having your baby!

Have you tried www.mnchildcare.org you can pay for alist. We called and interviewd for along time. We finally found a place after he was born. Congrats and good luck

My husband and I just found a home daycare we felt good about, but it took a very long time. One thing that helped me was ranking in order the most important aspects of daycare (i.e. safety, convenience, environment, number of children, etc.). Check out the Greater Minneapolis Daycare Association. They offer a lot of information on their site at http://gmdca.nonprofitoffice.com/ . Good luck!
