We had a very cute, Little Bill Goes to the Dentist. It was cute because there was a little girl that was scared and Little Bill helps her not feel afraid... Good for boys or girls.
Anyone know of a good book that discusses going to the dentist. What to expect, what they do, etc., but in a cute and humerous way.
Thank you all for your suggestions! The office happened to have a book. But my daughter was the trooper. She was excited to go and was eager to see everything. Even the dentist commented on how well behaved she was. No cavities. But she supposed to start flossing now.

I read Dora visits the dentist with my son and daughter. They both loved it.
Hi A.,
When my girls were little, they loved the Going to the Dentist book by Usborne Books. It is a great buy for $4.99! If you are interestd in seeing this book, you can check it out online here:
www.UsborneBooksInfo.com and in the search box type Going to the Dentist .
Hope that helps.

Dora goes to the dentist was one of my girls' favorites. The Berenstain Bears might have one too. Ask your librarian or check online.
Check your library...I know we have read and seen videos...blues clue, dora etc...
A.,
There's a Berenstain Bears book about the dentist (I think it's called The Berenstain Bears and the Dentist, or something like that). It's cute and funny and potentially helpful for navigating fears about going to the dentist.
Best,
R.
Contact your dentist they should have some materials about child's first visit. Second if you are taking your child to the same dentist you go to have your daughter go with you to your appointment or just take her to sit in the chair and have the doctor explain what he or she will be doing to check her teeth. Most dentist will do this to current patients children.
Arthur had a show on going to the dentist, maybe there was also a book or you maybe about to get the show on DVD.
I still say contact your family dentist.
The Berenstain Bears Visit the Dentist is what we read my son before he went for the first time.
I think it's also really important to keep in mind that she has no expectation that it will be scary or un-fun. Keep your attitude upbeat and she will feel the same...
All we did was let our kids know that we were so excited for the dentist to tell us how many teeth they had and that only the dentist could give us the official count. Worked like a charm.
The Dora book is great. Shows them the process of what happens (i.e., waiting in waiting room, being called in, what the instruments they use are, etc.). My daughter LOVES going to the dentist and I really think part of the reason is that I read that to her from very early on. I think its called "Dora goes to the dentist" but google it and you should find it. Good luck! : )
Hi A. I don't know of any books off hand but try looking on the internet there's bound to be some information about what you're looking for.
