I'm out of my element here. We, apparently, need to get our roof looked at, but we're very-very-very new homeowners. Where do I start in this search? Does anyone have recommendations? The inspector cited unevenness, if that helps.

I'm a little grumpy because prior to purchasing the house it was inspected three times. For the inspector from the insurance company to find this now is frustrating. But it is what it is, right?

Anyway, any advice or names would be so helpful. Thank you in advance.

What can I do next?

The question is - is your insurance company requiring a new roof? When we have our next hail storm are they going to deny your claim? If the answer to these questions is no, then don't bother getting a roof. Save your money for new furniture.

I highly recommend Armadillo Roofing...Mike Proctor is great and the team of guys that completed our roof were outstanding. Their phone number is: ###-###-####. Let me know if you have any question.

Not sure what unevenness means. I'm on the other side of the metroplex. So I don't have a recommendation but ask around your neighborhood or ask your insurance sales person for referrals. Any roofer should come out and do a free inspection for you without expecting a contract. Consult with more than one contractor as well and get quotes from all so that you make an informed decision. Also, if you live in a deed restricted (HOA) neighborhood make sure you know what their rules are.

You can go on Angie's List and find a list of roofers, but I would suggest calling Jon Wright Roofing. They are located in Irving and have been doing business for over 30 years. They have an A+ rating on Angie's List and excellent reviews. Their number is ###-###-#### and they offer free inspections/ estimates.
Let them know that Rachael gave you their information and they will take GREAT care of you!
Good luck!
