hi Ladies, It was a complete shock that I discovered I was pregnant a few weeks ago. I struggled w/Infertlilty and was told I'd need IVF or donor eggs! Well after a hurtful miscarriage last year, I'm pregnant 14 weeks. next week I'd like to tell my kids I'm pregnant. I'd like to do it on Christmas b/c I'm having a sono on Wed. Any cute ideas? Last year I made a stocking w/baby on it...but then miscarried. Don't want to do that again. Any ideas...thanks so much!

What can I do next?

Maybe wrap up something baby as a gift for the family to open together (baby clothes, baby doll, etc). Then when they look to you confused share the exciting news. Congrats!

You could wrap a big ribbon around your waist, with a giant bow on your belly... When your kids ask what's up, tell them that they have to wait (ok, I suck at math...) ____ months for their last present... new baby!!! :)

What about giving them big sister/brother shirts. Or a picture frame about siblings with a pic of the baby in it???

How about going to the store (I've seen them at Walmart) and buy a bag of the little plastic "babies". They are about the size of a quarter??? And bake some cupcakes. Place the baby in them and then frost over the top! Or just freeze them in ice cubes (what was done at my shower) and put them in a glass of punch/juice/ect. and let the kids figure it out!

Hello! And congratulations!! I think the best way to go about telling them, would be directly coming out with the great news. I think any other way would be a bit shocking for them. Especially if they are younger. You can even have them help you pick out gender-neutral clothing for the new baby...my kids loved doing that. I wish I were more help. Good luck!

I like the shirt idea. You can have them unwrap the shirts last so they don't get mixed up with all the other gifts and the kids won't be distracted with other presents.
