So I am about to become a God Mother to my good friends 1 month old little boy. He has a few issues and has to have surgery Wed. They are hoping to move the baptism up to this Sunday, before the surgery. Sooo I went and got a stuffed cross called the Comfort Cross. There is a small area on the inside where I can write something for him and I'm having a hard time wording it. I don't have much space to write but I want to let him know how much I love him and how thankful I am to have him in my life. I want to say something about strength to get through the surgery and something that will hopefully inspire him once he gets older and past all this. Any 2 -3 sentence ideas/ quotes to let this little angel know how much I love him? TIA

What can I do next?

What about something really inspiring like.......For with God all things are possible.
You were given this life because you are strong enough to live it.

Faith in God includes faith in his timing.

I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I ended up where I needed to be.

You are responsible for the talent that has been entrusted to you.

Look at the Stars, look how they shine for you.....

God has a bigger plan for me than I have for myself.

There are so many beautiful reasons to be happy.

Go. Have adventures. See the world. Just promise you'll come back.

Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay then it's not the end.

When we had our little girl's cake made for her baptism party (when we were practicing lutherans), we had a hard time figuring out what to write on the cake! We came up with "Remember that God Loves you!"

And our pastor used to say it to our girls every Sunday when he blessed them during the meal.

There are so many scripture verses that center on comfort and healing. I'd simply put the scripture reference.
Here are a few of my favorites:
Jeremiah 29:11 “For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.”

Psalm 46:1-3 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult.”

Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.”
