We are having pics taken of our 7-month-old boy this weekend. We want to do several pics of him by himself outside. Anyone have any cute ideas where a background won't swallow him up in the picture? Our photographer is leaving it up to us of where she will meet us to take pics.

We did our daughter's one year pics at a park near our house. Got some cute ones of her on the swing and the slide. Your little one probably isn't big enough for the slide yet but he can sit in the swing and on your lap on the slide. Loose Park is also a great scenic place with the rose garden and open grassy spaces and fountains.
probably a no-brainer but my favorite pictures of my son were ones that i took myself, out in the yard in the fall leaves. i know it's a little early for that though. is your son standing? you could have him stand at some of the fountains around KC, that'd be cute.
We had pictures taken at Kauffman Memorial Gardens. There are fountains, flowers, brick paths, stone edges, benches, and cool doors. It is kind of by the Art Gallery off of Rockhill Rd. Good luck!
Deanna Rose Farm in the SW area of Switzer and 135th in Olathe (or it just might be over the line into Overland Park.) They have colorful harvest colors of flowers and gourds--and your little one might be amazed at all the cute little animals.
