Cushioned Patio Furniture- Leave Outside?

I'm interested in getting outdoor furniture for our deck, and am very interested in the chairs/sofas with the outdoor cushions as opposed to a dining set. I'm wondering, though, if we'd have to put the cushions away each time after use or cover the furniture, because I really would like it to stay nice for a long time, and I can't see how leaving it out in the elements all summer wouldn't ruin it. If you have/know about outdoor cushions, how do you keep them nice?

What can I do next?

You can leave them outside, but they will not last as long. The sun will make them fade. If felt out in the rain and not fully dried after a period of time they will get musty or moldy.

I recommend bring them inside or storing in a deck box when not using.

We bring our cushions inside. It just helps them stay nicer longer when they are not out in sun and rain. I have a spot in my garage just for the cushions.

inside when not in use.....the rain/pollen/dust really hits them hard.

I keep most in a deck box close to the house that does a good job of protecting them and then the rest that don't fit, I keep in the house. I also put some cedar blocks in the deck box to absorb moisture. We just got our set this year though so hopefully this will keep them protected longer.

We put ours in a deck box right after we use them. Our neighbors bought their set around the same time we did and kept their cushions out all summer. I noticed two years after they got them, they were out with the trash. It's been 11 years and ours are still like new.

I have outdoor cushions and take them in if I'm not going to be outside for a few days. Even tho they are water and sun resistant I take them in when I'm not using them. To me it only makes sense to protect them from the stress of the elements.

We have a deck box that we keep our cushion in when they're not in use. It's water tight.

I hate my cushions....its a real pain to bring them in all the time and storing them is a pain too. They take up a ton of room in the house. The deck boxes work for my swimming floats but we'd need two really big ones for our cushions and deck boxes are really expensive and big to keep outside on your deck or patio too....I really wish we wouldn't have got them.
