be sure to check the inside of your dryer for dried crayons!
So the Lonestar song "Mr. Mom" comes to mind...one of my daughter's BLUE crayons found its way into a load of whites & went undetected into the dryer. Now, the school colors where I teach are blue & white, however, that isn't what I had in mind for school spirit! I know that usually the heat of a dryer sets stains, but I am hoping that I can get those blue stains out...anyone have any suggestions???
Thank you for all the important information...haven't tried anything specific yet, but I can't wait to make an attempt at saving my load!

Ugh! This happened to us, but it was a whole bunch of crayons- it looked like a rainbow threw up in our dryer!! For the clothes, I looked up (googled) getting crayons out of clothes, and followed that (sorry I can't remember the 'recipe'). I know it was like Tide, OxyClean, Borax, maybe something else- Shout I think. Let me know if you can't find it and I can look it up to, but as I recall it was pretty easy to find. Honestly, the crayons came out of a few things, but only about half of the load. And I think whites would be the hardest.
I did make sure to scrape out the dryer with any leftover crayons to make sure they didn't contaminate other loads. I just wiped it out with a cloth, and them dried a load of rag towels that I didn't care if they got marks on them. Didn't have a problem after that.
Just a note if you do the recipe- don't add bleach with OxyClean, I think it makes a chemical reaction or something.
Good luck, and if nothing else, just know you're not alone!
the crayola website offers great advice for this exact situation. We had 4 different colors go through...cleaning out the dryer is tough too.
good luck!!
I'm sorry honey I don't think there is much you can do. I think your best bet would be to scrub them, treat them, rewash them, then bleach them and wash them again. Not sure if it will work but it's worth a try! Good luck!
Im not sure about the clothes, but if you have it in your dryer you can wet a dryer sheet and scrub. That will take crayon and gum (for future refence, because it will happen-lol) out.
