My husband did a couple of loads of laundry today and after the first came out of the dryer realized my son had left crayons in the pockets of his pants. There is yellow, red, blue and green crayon all over the entire load of laundry including two of my husbands kakhi work pants and most of his work shirts. We are going to have to buy him a whole new work wardrobe if we can't get this out. Help!!!
Nothing worked. I tried wd40, dishwashing liquid, shout, color safe bleach, even boiling the clothes (weird I know, it was something I found on the internet). The wax came out for the most part but there is still color stains on all of the clothes. They are definitely not wearable at this point. Learn from us and make sure you check all of your kids clothes!

Two suggestions: First, ask a dry cleaner. We had candle wax spilled on our white down comforter, and after taking it to the dry cleaner, the color of the wax was completely gone. There were slight spots where we could see the wax remnants, but the color was gone and the blanket was entirely white again. Don't actually dry clean the clothes (expensive!) but ask what they would suggest. If that doesn't turn up anything, try this stuff called "Greased Lightning." It's a spray cleaner you can get at Home Depot that says on the product label that you can use it as a pre-treat for laundry to get out tough stains. I have personally never used it as laundry treatment, but then again, I've never had crayons in the dryer either. I have used the cleaner for other things and it works well. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Good luck!
I just wanted to say that I feel your pain. I just washed and dryed a full unopend pack of gum in a load of my son's clothes, plus a few of my favorites shirts. I have tried today, just picking away and scrubbing, some are savable and some are goners.
Good luck,
L.
Don't know what to tell you!! I've done a similar thing. I was ironing my husbands church shirt, and he had just a tiny piece of a broken black crayon in the pocket. BLACK crayon smeared all over the front of a WHITE shirt. Spay and Wash? NOPE!!! Bleach? NOPE!!! nothing I tried worked. Sorry I can't be of more help, but at least you know you aren't alone.
