Crayon in the Laundry - Mount Prospect,IL

Melaleuca, The Wellness Company makes 2 awesome products that can help you. One is called Pre-spot and the other is Solumel. It will definitely get that crayon out without harsh chemicals to damage the clothes or irritate the skin. I lovd it! We use the products all the time. I have a 3 and a 5yr old and Prespot and Solumel has gotten out many stains in my home.

Same thing happened to me. My daughter left a crayon in her
school uniform, needledd to say it was all over. I used a
iron set on linen, and a white cloth, that I wouldnot longer use. Put it on top of the caryon ironed it lighly until it
came off. Then I rewashed it all in oxy clean. It worked, took a little bit but it came off. I would worry about the wd 40 leaving a grease mark seeing it is a oil.Make sure if you do what I did put a cloth under your garmet also, just in case. Good Luck

I use Melaleuca's PreSpot and it works amazing wonders! I also use their Sol-U-Mel in my laundry also. SolUMel takes tar off a car, gum out of carpet and could possibly work for your crayon problem. If not, it's 100% refundable. Let me know if you'd like to try it too.

Martha Stewart just had someone on her show a few weeks back who treated the same problem you have...crayon in the laundry. Check her website....it seemed like a pretty intensive project but it got the crayon out. Good luck.

Look at your local craft store for a bottle of Crayon-B-Gone.

I would be hesitant about using WD40 also! I had the same thing happen and my dryer tub is still green to this day! LMAO I did use Lestoil to get most out. It was a sparkle crayon though, maybe harder to get out?! Some items were so bad that I did have to just toss them. Sorry!! sigh....Kids..... LOL Good luck. I ALWAYS check everyone's pockets now though!

Wow, what a mess!!! I too use Melaleuca on major messes like these. Their Pre-Spot is amazing which might work, but in this case you might need to break out the BIG GUNS, Sol-u-Mel. It is a natural solvent for any oil based stain like crayon. It is not available in stores, however, I have a little left in my bottle that I'd be happy to let you have. Give it a try and if you like it I can help you get more. I'd be a little leary putting WD-40 on my clothes, I would think it might damage them. Plus Sol-u-Mel is so easy to use.
