Does anyone know if courts ever close or delay opening because of bad weather? Just curious I've seen on the news under cancellations where they cancelled jurors but I've never seen it say the courthouse was closed.
We are expecting 16+ inches of snow Tuesday through Wednesday night I will call and double check Wednesday morning like I said just curious because I've never seen one listed on the cancellations

So I got up and went to the courthouse (after I called to see if they were open) they decided to delay opening until 11 went back at 11 they just decided it would be best to close for the day!
You might want to call the court and ask. Every court is going to be different.
I've only known it to happen when there is a state of emergency.
Yes they do close. Some courts will give you a number to call or post the information on their website, or the state, city or county will announce closing and if they are closed they are the ones running the specific court system.
