I was wondering if anyone knew of any counseling facilities or support groups for parents of children with Aspergers. I tried the Judevine Center and I can't afford to pay the hundreds of dollars they say I should have to pay. There are just so many different things I need to know/talk to someone about and don't know anyone else who has a child with Aspergers. If anyone has any info, please pass it along. Thanks so much!
I urge you to look into a group called Austism Speaks in STL http://www.autismspeaks.org/navigating/index.php this article on their site speaks to aspergers. Look up my girlfriend Christine Jaeger on their website. She is very involved and can help you. Good luck.

Do you have a case manager with the St. Louis Regional Center? If you do not, I would highly reccomend it. Your case manager can give you all kinds of information on resources, supports, upcoming events, etc. You need to call ###-###-#### and ask for the intake department. Then you will have an intake interview. Once your child has been found eligible for services, you will be assigned a case manager. They can help you with many different resource options. If you are in the St. Charles County area you will be given a case manager in that area. If you are in St. Louis County you will be given a case manager in that area. If you have any other questions about it, please PM me.

In St. Charles County there is The Autism Support Group. I haven't been in a long time but I believe it meets the 3rd Thursday each month. They meet at Leaps and Bounds on Jungermann Rd in St. Peters. (Behind IMOS Pizza between Willott and Mexico Rds.
If you are interested in respite care for the meeting or have additional questions, please contact Suzan at ###-###-#### to reserve a spot.

I don't have any info, but (this may sound strange!) you may want to try a search of Facebook! They have tons of different groups and I know there is bound to be one that supports Aspergers Syndrome. I have a friend on there that has 2 children that have been diagnosed, I know she belongs to various groups and I'm sure someone there possibly could help you.
