We had bought Levelor Cordless Cellular shades for our house and we have already had 2 break. They aren't even 2 years old. Does anyone have a brand they recommend and a good website to shop for them? We spent a lot of money on these and are very disappointed. Thanks

What can I do next?

We have always purchased our cordless blinds from JC Penny and have never had a problem with them and we are going on 11 years!

That's really odd. We had them in our old house for 7 years, removed them and reinstalled them in our new house (having traveled across the country) with NO issue. If it's something you all are doing to them, there's not much you can do. However, if you somehow got a "faulty" batch, call the company.

We had to buy two for the new house and got them at Lowe's. They weren't as expensive as the Levelor, but weren't cheap either. We have them in the baby's room and have had no issue. Check Lowe's because they have several styles and will cut them there for you.

How did they break? We haven't had any trouble with ours and they are around five years old.

All we do is push them up and pull them down. We were told to make sure to use them at least once a week so the mechanism doesn't freeze up. We have done that and are gentle with them. When I looked online I see a lot of other complaints with the same issue

That's odd. Ours look like new after almost 2 years.

Maybe try blinds.com?

We bought several from Bed Bath & Beyond, http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=123815&am...;

We put them in our rental townhomes (9 mos ago) and so far haven't had any trouble with them. They are very reasonably priced.
