So What Happened?

I went out and bought a Vicks cool mist humidifier at Target ($25) and so far so good! Thanks to all of you who responded. I truly appreciate it! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and have a great new year!

Hi A.,

As a mother of ten, six still living at home...every winter I break out our purifying humidifier that has a little touch of ozone to make sure humidity I generate doesn't result in harmful bacteria...ozone at a low level is a better sanitizer than bleach & far more pleasant. It compliments our air purifier that also sanitizes and removes allergens, odors even smoke.

If you care to know where I got the Pursonic Mister...let me know.

We have used a Honeywell from Menards for several years. It seems to work well.

Hi A.,

My daughter uses a cool mist humidifier all winter long because she is sick most of it. We use Vicks cool mist humidifiers and any one will work.

Good luck,
M.

I currently use a Kai Humidifer for my son and I have had it for 3 years. I believe it works. He has ashma and with out the humidifer a bloody nose. They are available at Wal-mart and make sure you get the growth inhibitor to add to the water.

I also have a Vicks for my one year old son and it works great. Hard to open, but that doesn't take away from the efficiency.

I have a great Vicks cool mist humidifier in my baby's room and I love it. Its easy to fill and clean, its kind of cute, and we have noticed a difference with our daughter's coughing. Target has them for about $20, I think.

Good luck!

I use the Air-O-Swiss humidifier. It has a mineral cartridge and silver stick to take care of mineral deposits and germs. It also has the option to be a warm mist humidifier if you like. It's a bit spendy, but I think it works great and is cleaner than others I've used.
