Don't throw them away! There are tons of companies that do this! Look in the yellow pages (blow the dust off of it first!) under video production. Good luck!
I have a box full of old movies from when I was a kid, super 8 film is what it's called I think. How do you find someone that can convert these to disc or a flash drive or something? I hate to just throw them away. the projector is old and the bulb in it is shot and it's a pain to even try to set up. Has anyone ever had the conversion done and who did you use? If you have, what was the cost involved?

Hi. My mother converted our film into a cd. She had it done at Walgreens and they did a really good job. She had a copy made for both of us. I love watching it. My father passed away 20 years ago so seeing him as a young man is very special for me.
I can't answer any of your questions but just yesterday I was asking about this old film I used to watch in school, it was on reel to reel, My daughter says reel to what?? I didn't think there were any around anymore, like 8 Tracks.
Have you googled it? That would be my first guess.
There is a place in Cambridge, on Cambridge st, that just might do this kind of thing. I don't remember the name. I have to convert US to european once which they did for me.
