Can anyone please give me some ideas for an appropriate gift for someone making their confirmation in the Catholic Church. I have three friends children making their confirmation this evening, 1 boy and 2 girls. I want to get them a little something, but nothing too expensive. THANKS!

What can I do next?

I was confirmed in the Catholic church as a youngster. The gift theme should be religious. I'd head to the local Christian store for something. They often have a kids section so you should be able to find something. If you go with like a cross to hang on the wall, probably keep it simple if there's a chance they want to use it their whole lives. Otherwise, there are great kids books, youth bibles and even music.

My good friend's daughter had her confirmation last week. I know that this young lady already has a nice rosary, a personalized copy of the bible, plenty of religious-themed jewelry... so because she is an accomplished pianist and plays in her school's symphony and marching band, I gave her an iTunes gift card. She enjoys music, and if she is so inclined, she can download religious music with the money (or she can download the latest Madonna album, I don't really care! ;). She was thrilled with it. I just bought a Confirmation card at the Hallmark store and put the gift card in there.

I posed the same question about a week ago and have sine gone to the confirmation. I gave him money which he was pretty excited about. He also got a few randome things like Legos and he was pretty pleased about that too. His parents seemed to appreciate all of the gifts, though I don't think they were expecting anything.

I was raised catholic and have a catholic family. Confirmation is typically an event where money is given. Confirmees often look forward to their confirmations because they receive a lot of money!

This is my first year coordinating Confirmation prep at my parish and after some extensive searching this past week for gifts to give my teens, I opted for a keychain. I did want something religious in theme since I think that's important plus I wanted it to be something useful/practical.

So, after googling Confirmation gifts, I settled on a keychain. The one I really wanted was backordered so I went with a silver keychain from The Catholic Company that had a verse from Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the Plans I have for you". There was also the option to engrave on the back which I probably would've selected if it weren't such a large group for which I'm purchasing, since it seems like a nice personal touch.

On a whim, since I didn't really think I would find anything for this website per se, I also looked at www.retailmenot.com (fabulous website for discounts, if you're not already familiar with it!) and came across a 15% off.

Hope that gives you some direction, Good Luck!

I think a rosary, a necklace with a cross (for girls), or a card with a little $.
