I am moving and would like to sell my high chair at a resale store. I cant get all the dried food and stuff from in the little places. Does anyone know how i can get it clean it's driving me nuts. I want to just take it out in the yard and hose it down and see if that works but i dont even think that would work. i am the third family to use it so its got some gunk built up in it. Any suggestions would be helpful thanks.

After you get it wet with the cleaner or water, Toothpicks and/or q-tips can help get in those hard-to-reach spots and get the gunk out. Toothpics are really great for this!
I had the same problem. Get a bottle of Greased Lightening (usully found at WalMart and other retail stores in the cleaning products aisle). Take it outside and spray enough of that in all the little places that food has accumulated. Make those crevices pool up with the cleaner. Let it sit for an hour or two so that the food really softens up and loosens up, and it has time to work out any possible stains. Then hose it off with as much pressure as possible to force the food out of there. Aside from the scuffs on the bottom from moving it around, my highchair looked brand new.
I would put it in the bathtub and put Simple Green all over it--just soak it. Let it sit for a bit, scrub the tuff areas with a wire brush, and then turn on the shower on hot and let it run. Good luck!
i would use an old toothbrush! as much as you can try to soak those places in warm water...maybe the bathtub, then get some dishsoap on your toothbrush and get in there. that's what i would try.
I usually pour Hydrogen peroxide on stubborn places like that. I just did the same thing to my son's old carseat. The straps aren't removeable like they used to be and I needed to treat the 5 point harness clip and buckle.
a helpful hint for getting in those little hard to read areas, get a cheap toothbrush (or an old one you're ready to throw out) and after soaking it (in simple green or other cleaner) in HOT water, scrub those little areas, and then take the hose to it!
Good luck!
Don't use all those dangerous cleaning products found in our grocery stores! I have found a company that uses naturally based products that clean stuff AMAZINGLY WELL! I'd love to tell you about them - and show you how to save money on them, too! Feel free to contact me through my website - www.healthyhome4family.com
GOOD LUCK!
if you can run it to a do it yourself car wash. the power sprayer just may be stong enough without having to put chemicals on it. just a thought. good luck!
