Hi Ladies!
We just scored on a nice microfiber sofa set for a STEAL. I wasn't going to bother getting any sort of nice furniture while we have young kids at home, but we couldn't pass this deal up! Even if they end up trashed in 5 years (which they will), we won't care because we hardly spent anything on them.
Anyway, the tag says NOT to use any sort of water or water-based products to clean with....SO what do I use?? Thanks!

Rubbing alcohol. Put it in a spray bottle and mist the area you want to clean, then rub with a clean dry cloth. Preferably on a day that you can open the windows...
We just get lots and lots of soap suds from our kitchen dish soap, scoop up with a dry rag and apply to mess. :) Works every time and nothing gets too wet.
A lot of times, micro fiber says not to use water because it causes the fabric to 'harden up'. I have recaro micro fiber car seats, and I use water to clean them, then use a soft toothbrush to re-soften the material. I think that if you aren't soaking down the materials and causing it to seep into the foam you should be okay. Now, if you decide to try it, do a small, unoticable area first to make sure, as another poster suggested, the warning isn't because the dye will run. For that matter, you could do a small quarter size somewhere inconspicuous and try the water/toothbrush thing too, just to see.
Good luck!
On a whim, I used Citrasolv concentrate mixed with water--a strong mix--and it worked beautifully.
Hand sanitizer (with alcohol works best). Just let it sit on a stain and wipe after a little while.
The baby wipes are good for quick cleanups too.
I have microfiber, and I use baby wipes to clean up messes (my son loves rubbing his snot nose on the couch) ... maybe it says not to clean with water because of the dye used to color the fabric?
