I subscribed to that for a about 6 months. They billed my CC every other month and I paid $15. I did chat with one person I knew from high school, but that was it. There are all these names I recognized, but no one seemed to be responsive enough for me to continue with it. I was in a health careers program that allowed me to leave class 1/2 day in my senior year, so I didn't have as many friends as I would of liked, only the ones that were in the program with me. If you are looking to get in touch with people, try it out and see how you like it, it's free for awhile and then you have to pay to continue with the membership...-V.

I have been on classmates.com for a very long time, and I have never paid anything. I do not know if they are charging for new memberships or not, but I have found several people from HS through it. I was an Army brat and did all of my schooling overseas so keeping in tough has been a challange!

Hi K.,

I've been on Classmates for several years now. And actually I pay to be a 'gold' member since I'm the one who tends to plan our class reunions. And that gives me the ability to do so much more. I can't remember if the main membership is free or not, but it is fun to see who's on and what they're doing.

Good Luck

I don't think it's worth the money at all. There are similar sites that are completely FREE.

Check out www.facebook.com and/or www.myspace.com. They have groups for high schools and colleges, I can pretty much guarantee you that your school will be listed and that you'll be able to find your fellow classmates. In my experience, there are actually more of us on Facebook and Myspace than on Classmates.com (probably because they're free), so I canceled my Classmates account. My high school is actually organizing our reunion through Myspace and Facebook.
