Has anyone been to the Chuck E. Cheese on Metcalf in Overland Park since they remodeled? We have been there BEFORE they remodeled but after the 3rd time we didn't go back. The place was always dirty, half the machines never worked, and the food was just terrible! We have been going to the one in Olathe and the food is great and we don't have as many problems with the machines. However, Olathe is a bit of a drive for us and Metcalf would be alot handier, I'm just afraid to try them again. Has anyone been there since they remodeled? Have they cleaned the place up? Is the food any better? How are the machines?

Wow, all I can say, is if you think the food at the Olathe Chuck E is great, than you're not a very picky eater!! :) I haven't been to the one on Metcalf since it was Showbiz pizza,( a lonnnng time ago) but I've wanted to try it out. I think pretty much all those places are the same. Medeocre food, crowded, and there is always going to be some games that don't work, but at least the kids always have fun.
It is better as far a space and more machines working.
As far as the food goes, it's okay. The salad bar looks a lot better.
I try to go avoid the busy hours lunch time and dinner time on Saturdays are crazy. Late Sundays aren't too bad.
My biggest issue is parents! Either they not watching their kids, especially the older ones that run and could careless if they run over a younger kid. Or they hog the machines themselves while kids are just standing there waiting to play.
We recently went to the new one up North and I will be going to that one from now on.
Yes, that place is still the same. I think it's the management that is not good.

That's our Chuck E's--there are often a few machines not working, but not many, and my son loves it there. It seems clean enough--any of those places make me whip out the sanitizer often! We usually go during off-off times, so it's quieter, and if a machine isn't working, we always alert a worker and get our token back.
My son is turning 5 in early July--we should make a Chuck E. play date! :-)
