Men love food!! You will still be in the good graces of everyone!! And you are not being lazy, you will still be making all of the goodies!!

Last year, we had about 15 people at the (construction) site I work at. So, I went out and purchased a little something for each person (less than $5). It was so much fun. However, this project has gotten bigger and we have more people on staff full time (28) with about 10 consultants that come and go.
I always do 'Christmas' (yes, I say CHRISTMAS and make no apologies for it) with a small token and a hand written card for each person. This year, I don't think I have time for all that. I'm considering making some homemade granola and fudge (or cookies, trail mix, etc.) with a card (not personalized, just signed). That way, I can zip through the trailers and drop a gift bag/box off on each desk and not have to sort who gets what.
Do you all think that's being lazy? Last year, everyone was surprised that I went through so much effort (it really wasn't). The guys loved that I got things that pertained to each of them (golf tees, collegate signs for their office space, etc.). See...I also work with about 90% men, so I think they don't really expect much. It's not about what I do for them or to get something in return - I just want to wish them a Merry Christmas and send them off for the break on a happy note.
Any ideas/thoughts/suggestions?
Thanks Mamas...you all are life savers!!!

Men love food...i think they'll appreciate this even more.
You are very thoughtful...not lazy!
Have a happy thanksgiving and a merry merry Christmas!!
I don't think that is the lazy way out at all! Like someone else said that takes A LOT of work baking for 30 people. I think they would all really enjoy the thoughtfulness of you actually making them something. Good luck!
I completely agree with the other posts.
If you really want to do something special see if your daughters (well maybe the 10 yr old) will make Christmas Cards for your co-workers-if she starts during the Thanksgiving Holidays she could finish b/f you give them at Christmas. Then you could box up the cookies and put the cards on together.
I have recipes for Homemade Hot Chocolate & coffee Creamers you could put it in plastic baggies and give that to whomever drinks it. Please don't think I'm saying you aren't doing enough by just giving cookies etc... Just if you want there are other "mixes" out there that you could give your co-workers to let them know they are special without breaking the bank OR doing LOTS of shopping. I think baked goodies are Great-all on their own.
Hope this helps.

I asked my husband about this so that I would have a man's opinion. He thought this was a great idea. After all, men love to eat! Baking homemade goodies is special and in no way lazy! I think they will love it. Good Luck!
If the goodies are home make that is not the easy way out. It takes work to make thing like cookies etc,
You are such a nice person! I don't think your idea is "lazy" at all. The people you work with will accept your Christmas goodies with appreciation. I bet it will brighten their day considerably to know that you care enough to think of doing something for them.

Food is always a great item. This year I am making goody baskets for my friends just because I like baking. My family every year we make pictures of our kids from the previous year. So they get pictures.
I would def go with making goodies. You cant lose with that.
Good luck and Happy Holidays. Its very nice of you to do all that.
Heck no, I don't think that's a bad idea! You will still be putting forth effort, and I think everyone will understand that since the staff has more than doubled that you had to simplify. Doesn't mean you don't care as much as you did last year! Go for it!
I think your idea is great! They are men! Men love to eat! They will love it :-)
