Does anyone either know of a cheap place to get big area rugs for children or is anyone looking to get rid of theirs? I want to put a few down in our newly tiled basement for my son but can't seem to find any that are affordable right now. Thanks for all the help!

What can I do next?

I was also going to say check out IKEA. They have a lot of rugs - very affordable. I even saw a large one that the kids can play with their cars on. It had the roads on the carpet that they could play on. It was only $17. Definitely the place to look at when you need some rugs!

ooh, IKEA is a great idea. I was going to say Menards has them that I guess are really carpet remnants, but finished off to work as an area rug. We got one of those years ago that was just solid burgandy that I liked a lot and was quite inexpensive.

Try craigslist. They have tons of nice/used rugs for very little money.

Have you tried IKEA? They have some nice, big ones that only cost like $20 for sizes around 8 x 10. They are very reasonable. That's what I was going to use when we redo our basement.

Good luck!
