We have been in a nannyshare arrangement with a great family who just informed us they are moving. Very happy for them but horrible timing for us. We have a very energetic 6.5 month old that I need to find care for. I am exploring all options. Either a new nannyshare, a home daycare, or nanny for ourselves (last option). WE live in Irving park, lincoln square, North center. All daycares have waiting lists. Are there any families looking for nannyshares or any recommendations of good low ratio home daycares???
Any help would be appreciated!!!!!!! I have about a month to get a new thing going.

Thanks!!!

What can I do next?

I have a wonderful woman that has been helping me for 5 years. She's wonderful with babies. My kids are getting older so I only need her 1 day a week (Fri). She is looking to fill up the rest of her week. The other family she worked for is moving out of town. She entertains the kids, takes them outside & does not just let them sit in front of the TV like so many other sitters. If the baby is napping she will clean the house, do laundry, or tiddy up any room in your house. Her name is Audelia & her # is ###-###-####. Tell her D. gave you her #.

Hi A..
We live in lakeview and are exploring the option of a nanny share, but since I am a teacher, we would not need anyone until September. Have you tried NPN (northside parent network)? I have found the site really useful. Our son just turned 1 last week, and I have him on a waitlist near where I work. I feel your pain:) Good luck!

A good place to start is the local child care resource and referral agency. They have a comprehensive listing of licensed child care homes, child care centers, and information on in home care. The official child care resource and referral agency for Cook County can be reached by dialing ###-###-#### or visit their website at www.actforchildren.org.

A.,
My current nanny is looking for additional work, starting after May 15. She lives in Skokie and is able to drive about 30 minutes to a job. As of now, she is free Tues-Fri. We started out with her full time, but as my daughter has become more involved with school and activities, we don't need her as often.
Feel free to email me back if you want more details.

I am a SAHM in Albany Park. I have been taking care of kids for the last seven years. I have been a teacher, nanny, and now doing the in-home daycare thing. My full-time child just pulled out. They got a spot in Kindercare, of which she was very ready for. I have been taking care of her daughter for the last two years. They decided that she was ready for a more preschool type classroom setting. I have glowing references from all of the parents that I have worked for, plus a resume ready to send to you. We could discuss further if interested. We may be a perfect fit. I guess it will depend on hours and amount if you would be a good fit for my opening. Send me a private message if you would like my personal info to talk further.
