ok i am a 23 yr old mom to a 8mnth old daughter who is everything to me i am having a hrd time with money situations i havent went after child support but been thinking of going after him even though he doesnt see his daughter. i just need help of where to begin and what not just to get everything started where do i go and what not
go to your local court house & explain that you need to get child support started & have no money for an attorney....they will guide you on what you need to do....of course have all his info with you .....like his name, address, employers info, etc.....child support will be prorated from the date you file, so don't wait.
Child support is not based on visitation. But like the others said go to the court house and they will guide you. Good luck.

This is how I started and thank God I have been receiving child support for 2 years now. It takes a while, but don't give up. I hope this helps.
K., I agree with the others about the child support stuff. But here is some other info that might help you out. There is a program called the childcare subsidy program. You can get help paying for your day care while you go to work and school. Call your local ywca child care resource and referral if your in aurora contact me and I can give you a phone number of a provider that can help you.

I don't know about the child support per se, but if you're anywhere near Palatine, try contacting the nonprofit called PHD. They help moms with all kinds of things. The phone number is ###-###-####. They can probably give you referrals re: chidl support. I used to volunteer there myself before I had my baby.
