After just paying to replace my glass/screen after dropping my phone on carpeted cement (childrens museum), I had the otterbox placed on my freshly repaired phone before leaving the store. It is great.
Hi,
I recently got an iPhone 4S and I am looking and looking at cases. I have read tons of reviews and I can't make a decision. I don't want a bulky case but I want something that will protect the phone if it is dropped.
What case case do you have and like?
Thanks!

Otterbox Defender. To me, there is no other case that will ever be good enough. I've dropped my phone down flights of stairs, thrown it across the office, stepped on it, and am constantly dropping it. No damage...ever.
You might want to take a look at www.switcheasy.com. I have the Glitz (in pink!) and love it. :) I had a Speck case before that with a purple plaid fabric on the back, but it started peeling off within the first few months of use.
I bought my husband a case from the apple store that has a backup battery charger. It's not bulky and since the phone drains the battery so fast, the extra battery life is cool. I personally drop my phone to much so I have an otterbox.
Oh I had a great Coach one - until I was managing an event and accidently threw it across the room when I pointed wiht my portfolio pad - LOL. I couldn't find it's replacement anywhere.
I replaced it with this GREAT monogramed product from boutiqueme.net .
It is SOO sturdy, a great differentiator since it has my name on it and I liked that I got to select my own colors. Yeah, a little pricey, but if you have it for a year it is only like $5 a month - so . .
In my opinion there is no better case than the Otterbox. My uncle dropped his phone from nearly 3 stories up. There is a little chip in one corner of the case, but the phone was unharmed. All four of us in my house have Otterbox cases on our devices. My 9 year old has dropped her ipod touch more times than I can count and it is in perfect condition.
I have an Otterbox that has never been used. It was "free" when I got my phone and a couple of other accessories.
I use and love the Speck covers. I bought mine at AT&T. It is not that big, phone still slides easily in my pocket and certainly not bulky like the Otter.
I hope you got AppleCare.... We have used that several times over the years.
I have the older phone for 2 years in the original rubber case. Love it!
