Hello Ladies,
I need some help picking out a carpet cleaner (to wash the the carpet and furniture). I usually rent a Rug Doctor from the grocery store. I've contimplated hiring someone, but it seems costly.
I want something that works good, with out problems and that will last a long time.
Thanks for your help!

I have the Hoover Steamvac and I love it. I use it about once a month and it really cleans and the carpets dry fast.
I hear the biased pet two works awesome I'm getting that one soon.
I have a Hoover. It cost about half of a Bissel and it works great.
We've had our Bissel Pro Heat for more than 10 years and it still works great. We don't use it that often (about once a year) but it's held up over the long run for us.
We have used our Bissel Pro Heat for several years. Works fine.
You can buy a rug doctor. I have considered this myself. Though they are more costly than other carpet cleaners, the reviews on them are great. It will last you and the newer model they sell online is suppose to be superior to the ones you rent in the stores.
I bought a Bissell carpet cleaner used from a friend. I was too cheap to spend the money on a new one if I wasn't sure I'd like it or if it would work. LOVE it. 6 yrs old, works great. Carpets dry quickly. I am using it about 1x/mo. Can't believe how much dirt it pulls out of our carpets (we have 2 kids but no pets).
I found the amount of soap to use was too much though. The back of the bottle said to use 4 caps full but that left soap in the carpet (it felt stiff when dry and collected dirt quickly). One cap full seems to be the sweet spot for me.
