Wow a lot of need for mechanics on here. My boyfriend is a certified tech he does side jobs if needed, doesn't charge full labor but let if you are looking for someone who can diagnose honestly he's the guy for you.
I've lived in Bolingbrook for 15 years and my neighbor, Ron Leracy has been repairing my family's cars for that long. His shop is called Last Chance Auto Repair and he's located on Naperville/Plainfield Road across the street from Plainfield East High School. He's reasonable and honest. I don't have his number handy, but you can look it up.

There's an awesome one in DT Westmont called L & J Auto. Small place with good honest men working there. We have been going there for many many years and they have always been totally honest with us, they are very reasonable.
Try Bob and Todd's in Bolingbrook. Off of Rt 53 near Boughton Rd. My family goes there all the time to get their cars fixed.
