We had a fusia colored candle accident, knocked it off the table right after blowing it out, onto the off white carpet. Anyone have suggestions how to begin to remove this?

To get the wax up, you can iron it off. Put down some fabric or an old towel and iron over the wax. LIfting the fabric and moving periodically. It's a slow process, but the wax will come out. As for the stain of the color of the candle, that will be trickier. I don't know if it will work, but Spot Shot is my go to carpet cleaner. It's gotten sharpie off a couch, grease stains out of clothes and a huge dried blood stain out of the carpet.

It's happened to me on several occasions.
Iron, not set too high, but high enough to soften the wax, and absorbent paper towels.
Once you get all the wax up, you can then use a stain fighter to get the residual color out.

brown paper bag and an iron. put the brown paper bag on the carpet and with the iron gently take the iron on low over the brown bag. move the bag as the wax is on the bag!! this can take a while but it will pull the wax up!!

Pull off as much of the chunks as you can. Set an iron to low and use paper towels or a paper bag (brown) and that should work. It may take some time to get it all out.

I rented a home with my now DH. We had the same thing happen, red candle on an old orange carpet. We used a hair dryer and using a towel to get the wax off of the carpet. If the stain doesn't come out I'm with SB, try Spot shot, possibly resolve? Just make sure you get all of the wax up first.
I was able to remove all of the wax from the carpet with the technique I described above.

Good luck, take care.
