Does anyone know where to buy candied cherries? I don't even know what kind of package to look for, Help. Not marrachino and not chocolate covered. I'm trying to make a cookie recipe. I need a brand name, a package description and what store to go to...help
Thank you to everyone,,,I checked at the publix that I usually go to and no one knew what I was talking about then I actually found it at wal-mart of all places and my cookies turned out great..when I went to a different publix a few days after I had already made my cookies I saw the candied cherries there also...now I think I'll see them everywhere...
Thanks again and Merry Christmas

In the Miami area -- I have asked for them at the bakery in Publix.
Hi A.- You can find candied cherries in most of your grocery stores. The ones that I have seen sit out at the ends of the aisles, especially at this time of year. They come in a clear bowl like container and usually sit with candied pine-apples, and the cherries come in green or red...
for a fruitcake?
They are red and green, and usually are found with the baking items or an end-cap this time of year. Look for the bagged coconut type stuff. It should all be together at most grocery stores. Or even Walmart, if yours has a grocery section.
Try Harry & David store at Florida mall. Call and ask first.
