Can I Get It to Come Clean???

Sorry in advance this is kinda long….
I borrowed a co-workers jumperoo this spring. She advised me to take it out side and hose it of because it hadn’t been cleaned since it was last used. I sprayed some type of cleaner on it and hosed it down, in a few hours it was dry. My daughter only really liked to play in it outside. So because it was so cumbersome and was able to get wet I left it outside in the yard all summer. Now I have noticed the seat looks rather dingy with a gray cast on the front half. I assumed it just needed to be run through the wash. Well it didn’t help. I didn’t dry it for fear of setting in the stain. I pre treated it with spray and wash but went out and bought some other kind and a detergent with bleach alternative. I pre treated again and left it in the wash to soak. My husband thinking her was being helpful turned on the washing and later dried the seat cover.
Is there anything I can do to remove the dingy gray tint, it’s so bad it’s almost black. I would hate to return it in that condition and don’t really know how I would go about replacing the seat cover it’s nearly 5 years old.
Please help!

What can I do next?

I would soak it in really hot water and a bunch of oxy clean for up to a week. Just put it in there and forget about it for a while...I've had pretty good results with tough stains that way.

Have you tried the new Tide stain release? I've gotten out stains even after drying with that. Good luck!

It's probably just bleached out from the sun. Is it something you can dye?

Sounds like it was sun damaged. Can't fix it. They still make those Jumperoos and they look identical. Call the company for a replacement cover. I may know someone who is selling a used Jumperoo if you're interested.

I personally think it is sun/weather damage. The only things you can do are to dye it. You could use Rit dye and ask the girl what color she would like it dyed first. OR you could contact the company and see if they sell replacement covers for that model. Otherwise if neither of those pan out you should just go buy here a new one of the equivilant of that one.

Risk you take when you borrow something unfornately. You should always return it as you got it.

Sorry but it sounds like weather damage and you will not be able to fix that . You will either have to find a replacement seat or buy a new one for her . Go to a store that sells used baby stuff . Around here we have Once Upoun A Child . Good luck .

Sounds like it was damaged from the sun. You can call the company that made it and see if they still have a replacement seat. There should be a phone number or website somewhere on the toy. Good luck
