Has anyone seen this show? My girls and I are loving it. These crazy country boys help people remove ANY type of animal from their porperty. Could be a wild horse, muscrat, mama racoon and babies.....he never injures any of the animals and always relases them back in the wild or to a rescue organization. None of them(the turtleman and his cohorts) have teeth, but they are so endearing, eductional and plain silly. Check it out.

What can I do next?

Live Action!!! Need I say more?

We love the show. Last year there was a baby squirrel trapped in our apartment hallway and my daughter decided to free it. It was big enough to survive on it's own (didn't look like a newborn) but had gotten stuck in something. So my daughter got the camera and told me she was going to free the squirrel, and she did, successfully and carefully (with thick gloves on just in case it bit, but it didn't), and the entire time she was pretending to be Turtleman catching a ferocious coyote. She kept yelling, every time the squirrel let out a little squeak. things like "oh this critcher is mad" or "he's after me Neil [Turtleman's helper]! This is one deadly varmit!", all while gently freeing this little stuck gentle squirrel, the furthest thing from a coyote or fox. But she had a blast doing it and when the squirrel scampered away to safety, she turned to the camera and crossed her arms like Turtleman does and said "Live Action". It was pretty funny stuff.

We like Turtleman's pay for his jobs, like six dollars and a pie, or twenty dollars and a hat. He seems like a good guy.

And you're wrong about the teeth. You said none of them have teeth, but I definitely counted at least 6 teeth between them on the episode we watched last night! They are a funny but endearing bunch, as you said.

I might have seen it but living in Texas and being related to a bunch of rednecks to begin with, I can't bring myself to watch anything I consider "hillbilly". And there seems to be so many shows featuring these backwoods snake hunting swamp swimming gator catchin mudbug finding butter lovin tea drinking bearded overall wearing barefoot southerners...and that's just the women :)

My son is totally obsessed with these Animal Planet programs. Call of the Wildman and many others keep our family entertained when there is not much on television. In fact, I would rather have him watch this than many of the cartoons that are broadcasted today. We also like some of the programs on the Science chanel--How Its Made and Myth Busters. We stay away from the Bigfoot, Alien and Haunted type programs.

I once had a job doing this! A long time ago...it was called Critter Gitters. We would capture all kinds of animals and release them back into the wild. It was sometimes quite the exciting job. :)
