Does anyone know anything about California Baby products? Or do you have any recommendations for natural baby products? I wouldn't mind trying some and I'm just not sure what to buy. Thanks!

What can I do next?

We haven't tried California Baby but we've been very pleased with Burt's Bees. When my daughter was first born up to about 7 months ago, she'd get really bad diaper rash. We tried several different creams and finally tried the Burt's Bees cream and it has been FANTASTIC! We still use it every night just to keep the wetness from her skin and her rash breakouts have stayed away. We also use their baby buttermilk lotion and that works better than J&J, Aveeno baby or the petroleum based products. When her teeth started coming in we introduced Earth's Best toothpaste since it didn't have sugar and was baby safe. She loves the taste of the Strawberry/Banana flavor. It's so hard to pick things that are healthy with so many things on the market but for us, the above stuff really worked. Good luck :)

We use the California Baby Calming Hair Conditioner. I also buy Burt's Bees Baby Bee Tear-Free Baby Wash/Shampoo. Both are available at Target (in the baby bath section). I have found that the natural products don't quite lather like the other products do, but I think that is because they don't have that yucky chemical in them that creates "good" lather, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. It is supposedly a carcinogen. My daughter has VERY long hair--down to her butt--and these products work for her. I haven't used "regular" shampoo in over a year. Once I started reading up on how awful all the ingredients in traditional shampoo were for children, we switched! The natural stuff is a little pricey, but it lasts a long time, even with a long haired girl who bathes at least 4 times a week, and a short haired boy who bathes even more frequently!

I LOVE California Baby -- I have used the shampoo/bodywash with my daughter since she was born. She's almost 10 mo now and we have only used 1/2 the bottle (I'm not an obsessive bather because I don't want her to have dry skin). Non- irritating and she has never has a reaction from it. Go for it!
I also prefer buying from a small company rather than a large conglomerate (e.g. Burt's Bee's is owned by Clorox!).

I've had them recommended by several people, but never tried any. We did try Gentle Naturals products and loved them.

Hi J.,
I use California Baby for my 3 year old. I have used it for awhile and been very happy with it. Even their fragrance is made from essential oils. Plus..they don't use formaldehyde.

In all of my research on "safe" baby products, you have to be careful. Even "All Natural" products can contain petro-products, parabens EDTA or Sodium Laureth Sulfate.
I really like a product called Miessence. It's certified USDA organic. Miessence doesn't use preservatives, so the shelf life is only 1 to 1/2 years. They have a great line, and even the makeup is superior to anything I have found. The shampoo, body wash and conditioner work great for my daughter.

Burt's bees has a great line as well.

I have a ton of information if you are interested.

Take care!

Arbonne has great natural baby products. I believe it is like Avon in the way that it is sold. Here is a link to check it out... http://www.arbonne.com/index.asp?lang=eng
