Earth Mamma Angel Baby is a line sold at Whole Foods. We love the body wash/shampoo and still use it (my daughter is almost 2).
Hey mamas,
Can someone suggest a body wash that has no sodium laureth sulfate, or any of the other sodiums like palmate, cocoate or chloride? Also, one that I can purchase at a retail store and not have to order through the internet or a particular company sales rep.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
Great recommendations from everyone! Thank you so much to all that took the time to respond. :)

I have also recently switched to Dr. Bronners. It's inexpensive (especially compared to some of the other alternatives) and easy to find (I've bought it at TJ's, Target, CVS) and you don't need to use very much at a time.
Hi C. -
What I personally am very concerned about & strenuously avoid are Parabens and Phthalates. Those both accumulate in our systems and I've read some scary things about that. There are lots of good alternatives out there that you can find in several places. Trader Joe's has some products that it packages under it's own label that are good. i just got a new shampoo & conditioner for my little girl that has tea tree oil & mint (tea tree is good for repelling lice). Pretty sure they had a body wash as well in the line, but I happened to be looking for shampoo at the time. But you need to read the labels, as not all of their products are free of those ingredients. Another brand that's really good is Avalon, which is owned by the same company that owns Alba. TJ's used to carry Avalon & might still, but I've switched mostly to this really terrific & extremely inexpensive at Whole Foods. It's the 365 line and they offer Lavender, Mint, Citrus and unscented in body wash, shampoo, conditioner, & lotion. It's great, clean of nasty ingredients and really, really cheap.
I've done a bit of research & have decided not to worry about sodium laureth sulfate. I can't remember which website, but I read that the person who originated the warning had actually gotten it wrong about the ingredient & meant to put something else. Unfortunately I didn't save the link & I can't remember what it was they meant to say! I realize this is very incomplete information, but I do recall also reading Andrew Weil's comment on the substance and his advice to people that it is not a threat. Here's a link to an article I just found that I think is good for explaining a bit on the subject: http://science.howstuffworks.com/sodium-lauryl-sulfate.ht...
Hope my list is helpful. If you like shopping online, there's a cool eco website that offers a newsletter called Idealbite.com & they have lots of great recommendations for clean products. Not all of them are a cheap as I need for my budget, but it's fun to know what's out there.
All the best,
Colleen
Check California Baby... I'm pretty sure they are stripped. Other than that head to your local health food store and they will be able to help you ;)
I would call local health food stores to check if they have anything.
reading the other posts...I would have to agree with California Baby and Dr. Bronner's. In my opinion, Burt's Bee's has too much fragrence, it gives me a headache. All of the above I have seen at Henry's, Target and Whole Foods.
I have been using the Giovanni products for quite some time and they are truly fantastic. They can be purchased from any health food stores such as Mother's Market or Whole Foods. They have pretty much everything available in their product line and the price is fairly reasonable.
Might want to check, Dove bodywash (not sure of the ingredients) and there's also a BEE product line which is very natural and nice...
Again, check the ingredients as I'm not sure of them.
Also check out Aveeno. I didn't see it on the list below.
Good luck!
Sorry but the best one I have found, that worked with my daugther's eczema, that is cost effective, uses plant extracts and essential oils for scent is Sensaria Natural Bodycare's and everyone in the family loves it. You can see my information in the Local Business section. So, if you change your mind and want to give a great product a try.
You can go to this website: http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/index.php to find out what ingredients are in the beauty products we are using and if they are safe or harmful. You should be able to find products on the website without sodium stuff! Good Luck!

Dr Bronners! It's the best - we all use it, even our dog. You can also dilute it with water to make a great all-purpose household cleaner.
Some people (like my husband) don't care for the peppermint because it's kind of "chilly" - but it comes in lots of scents (including unscented), so finding one you like shouldn't be difficult. You can get it at Whole Foods.
I found a great product line for Sensitive/ Allergy Skin called BABYSILK by MD Moms. It's hard to find in person, but look it up on line, they have full product descriptions with ingredients, and you can order on line. You can even purchase with free shipping at another site called whatshebuys.com if the product looks good to you. We love it!
Good luck!
Hi, I don't know exactly what is in it but i just love Oil of Olay body wash With the tellow top. At first i felt like i didn't get all the soap off of myself but i got used to it. I never have to put lotion on after my shower. I purchase it at Costco or Sams club in a two pack and you also get a small size too (great for travel). Hope that helps. J.
Have you looked at Dr. Bronner's soaps? You can get them at Target, Mother's Market and Trader Joe's. http://www.drbronner.com/
Target actually sells most of the products people have listed (with a few exceptions). Kiss My Face also has an "Obsessively Organic" line that is SLS free. If you're talking about something for your kids, Burt's Bees makes a great baby wash. Good luck!
California Baby is great. I researched these when my son was a baby, as he was highly sensitive to chemicals. Loved it! You can get it at Whole Foods, but can also buy it online cheaper.
I like California Baby stuff. You can get it on-line, at places like Whole Foods and at Target.
I do handmade bath and body. You can check out my ETSY shop for Natural soaps and Body Butters. I also carry salt scrubs and other natural bath and body products
Almost anything you get at Whole Foods would be sulfate-free. I love their store brand grapefruit body wash and it's really inexpensive!
I just checked my burt's bees baby bee shampoo & wash tear free and it's good! Smells great and I think we bought it at Target.
Hi C.,
We use Dr. Bonner's Peppermint (bar) soap. Love it. Trader Joe's has it for the cheapest, but you can also get it at Mother's, Henry's, Whole Foods, etc.
You can consult the Environmental Working Group's website that rates personal body products for safety: www.cosmeticsdatabase.com
This is now my family's bible, whether I am buying mascara, shampoo or body lotion!! It has everything.
