My daughter had a pink birthmark on her forearm, that as she aged turned brown and began to grow hair. The doctors called it a congenital hairy nevus. We had it removed by a plastic surgeon when she was five years old.One in every four of these can become cancerous. I don't know if that is what you are speaking of. Thanks

there is a place in Riverton NJ ...it is an adorable old time Ice Cream Parlor ...my cousin's daughter who is 5 had her BDay there and it was amazing.

Hi D. - yes, my son has one on the side of his nose! He's had it since birth, but it progressively got darker. I actually love it - it gives him "character" (sort-of like a scar would) and is a part of his face that I adore. We've never had any problems with it, either. Just a pretty birthmark is how I see it!
