Hondas are great and last forever. Do any of you have a Volvo X60?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I am still looking around. The X60 has terrible gas mileage and is a newer model SUV, so that's not gd ! It's only been on the market for a few yrs. The reviews I read last night were not that great. I did find two 2010 X60's for less $ than the 2012 Honda CRV. The Honda CRV has much better gas mileage. I a.m still going to look for the time being !!!

We have a CRV. It is 7 years old and has minimal expense/upkeep.

I don't know anyone who has kept their X60 for longer than 2 years.

I had the XC90 and LOVED it! It was a great vehicle, but we were worried about owning it out of warranty. It never gave us trouble, but we still didn't want to go into the poor house if we needed to fix it.

Hondas are very reliable and affordable. But, you are comparing apples to oranges. The Volvo is more expensive and more luxurious, but more expensive to maintain!

I have a 2010 Volvo S60 which is a sedan. Is the x60 an SUV? I like my car although it is a bit small. Volvo has excellent service and I would definitely buy another. (free oil changes, free brake pads).

My friend has a 2008 X60 and likes it, but wishes for the money that she got a Honda or Toyota. For the money they paid for the X60, they could of gotten all the bells and whistles on a cheaper SUV. I had a 2008 Honda CRV and loved it and miss it everyday. The only reason I got rid of it because we needed a car with a 3rd row to accommodate our 3 kids, since we needed 3 car seats. I got better gas mileage in my CRV than the Volvo and they are cheaper to maintain. I know you like the X60 and are looking for reasons to get it, but really if 2 mechanics are telling you to stay away, I'd stay away. For what it's worth, I bought my 2008 for $30K with all the bells and whistles and this included all taxes and fees. In 2011, when I sold it, I got $19K from CarMax, so it really retained it's value. The only worked I ever had done was maintainance.
