Is it her anus that she is complaining about or just the general area? Check her tailbone for swelling, could by a pilonidal cyst... they are very painful, we've had a few in our family that have had them.
Ok so here is the deal..my daughter is 2 years old...she has been complaining about butt pain for awhile...lately it's becoming more frequent...like at least 3 times a day..she has had a few episodes of waking up crying & just rolling around in pain..so I know she's not making it up..at one point I thought maybe she was constipated..so we held off on the banana's..I gave her a prune and she definatley got everything out..but she is still complaining...she got sick a few weeks back & I asked her doc about it..he kind of brushed it off that it was stomach cramps from being sick...so I asked what to do if they continue..he said to bring her back..so now she has an appointment in the morning..but I want to know what you mom's think it might be so that I can run ideas by him...I really want to get the bottom of this..thanks!

I was also going to say pinworms.
does she have a tear (fissure)? It could be muscle spasms. or a hemorroid. Is the pain coming from the anus or in the intestine? Have you tried gas-ex? Has anyone looked at her anus?
Very likely worms. She feels itchy and calls it pain.
Is the butt pain from her actually butt or from her colon. maybe she feel and hit wrong? It can happen. I would perhaps find a chiro for babies (most chiros will work on babies and take her to one to see if it is something wrong that way vs constipation.
Just a idea especially since she isn't constipated anymore and still has butt pain.

It might be a bacteria imbalance. That can cause spasms and feelings like constipation even without the constipation. It might also be irritable bowel syndrome, which can be caused by too many vegetables, an allergy to milk or certain fats, or lactose intolerance. Ask your doctor about feeding your daughter some probiotic yogurt. That would take care of the bacteria imbalance. And if that doesn't work, start isolating food groups from her diet to see if one of them is making her cramp up.
hAVE THE DOCTOR CHECK HER FOR PIN WORMS. It is really common in children.
