Bumps/burning

This is an embarrassing question. I never had hemorroids when I was pregnant with my son, but I may have them now. I got very tender and after trying some oitment, the swelling went down enough to where there is what looks like some small swelling/bumps. However...there are a couple more bumps that I have noticed in the vaginal area. If any urine touches any of these places, it burns horribly. I am married and have not had any problems like this before. any ideas? Just irritation maybe?

What can I do next?

It's possible you may have the HPV virus which can sometimes lead to the presence of genital warts. By age fifty 80% of women have the virus and from what I understand it can be dormant for years before warts occur (and often they never do). I have HPV and although I've never had warts, the description listed in your message is exactly what my doctor told me to be on the lookout for. Either way, your doctor will be able to tell you right away whether it's warts, a yeast issue, or other irritation. Good luck!

This sounds like a yeast infection.
Check out WebMD.com. They are a wealth of information. Also, definetly see your doctor.
The other thing I wondered is that since you live on a farm, is it possible that either you or your husband came in contact with some chemicals and touched something or touched each other? It could be irritation but really sounds like a yeast infection.
Don't buy over the counter meds until you are tested by the Dr b/c it could be something else.
Hope this helps,
Jenny

Hi W.,

Do you have blisters? It sounds to me like genital herpes. It is better that you go to your OB/Gyn. Keep that area very clean, dry and, wear cotton underwear..loose.
Do not touch the area, just in case is what I think it is.

Good Luck,
Alejandra

I don't know... that doesn't sound like hemorroids to me, especially in your vaginal area. I'd get in touch with your doctor and schedule an appointment.

Hemorroids only occur around the rectum. They do not spread to the vaginal area. You need to make an appointment to see your gynocologist as soon as possible.
