Sorry to be late to answer. I bruised a lot in high school and my Dr. recommended getting more vitamin C and that seemed to help.
Hi I'm a mom of four and nursing my eleven month old. I noticed bruising when nursing my third child and at the end of my fourth pregnancy. It's been much worse since i started nursing my fourth. I'll get a bruise out of no where in some weird to hit spot like the back of my leg or under my arm, and then I'll run into the table corner and no bruise. My blood work shows nothing serious. Could it be my copper IUD. I'm so lost on this one.
Any Information would be such a help
Thanks

I am assuming you don't take a lot of aspirn since you are nursing but I bruise easily and I think it is cuz I am addicted to Excederin when I get a migraine which has been less but when I do... I catch it with the little buggers... I know, not a great habit but it is the only thing that works for me. Aspirin makes your blood thinner and that might be a reason for bruising if you have taken an unusual amount of aspirin recently
Regular blood tests do not cover genetic blood disorders, like hemophilia and thrombophilia. Bruising like this can be an indicator of a genetic blood disorder. Considering you may pass this on to your children, you may have issues or need to take special precautions if you have surgery, many common over the counter drugs and even certain foods can cause complications for people with disorders like this, you might consider asking to have a test done.
They are pricey and painful! The panel usually requires at least 20 vials of blood to be drawn. :( But its well worth it to know if this is something that can be fixed with a supplement versus a whole lifestyle change.

You should also know that some women who develop a condition called HELLP Syndrome either during pregnancy or post partum can develop anemia. To learn more about this complication and its affects see:

I'm sorry you are going through this...congratulations on your 4th!!! YAY!!!
have you been tested for diabetes?
did the blood test include leukemia? I know that's a shocker, but that's how my GF found out she had leukemia - she would bruise if you looked at her hard!
I would have the doctor check for diabetes and ask for more work to be done!
GOOD LUCK!!
I was going to say anemia, but that would show up on blood work. It could also be a low platelet count, and I think there's a very specific blood test to determine this.
added...a low platelet count means thin blood, which too much aspirin contributes to.
bruising is also an indication of a very acid system. If you consume caffeine, lots of dairy, meat and sugar, (aka typical western diet) then you might want to look to eat more alkaline foods. These include leafy green veggies, yellow and orange veggies, sea veggies, lots of still water(non carbonated), whole grains and beans. Nightshades, and citrus except lemons will also create acid conditions in the body.
you may need to take some vitamin C.
