Probally all the nutrients in prenatal vitamins...........That was what i came to the conclusion of when i was preggo.....Maybe the extra iron?
My whole life I have had bruises on my body mostly on my legs, for some reason when I was prego that was the only time in my lfie I can remember ever not having brusies. Was my body producing something while I was prego that is doesnt produce while not prgo? and is there something I can do or take? Its so annoying I feel like people are constantly looking at my legs and asking me what happend 90% of the time i have no idea where the bruises come from.....

Vitamin C makes cell walls stronger and reduces the fragility of your capillaries. Vitamin K improves blood clotting. Topical applications of an arnica cream, or hypericum cream (St. John's wort), or a combination, will help most bruises resolve more quickly.
Between prenatal vitamins and hormonal changes, your body was probably handling bruises better while you were pregnant.
Vitamin C and Vitamin K are both nutrients that will help. Vitamin C for blood clotting and vitamin K for reabsorption of blood. I'm sure your prenatal was helping. Good nutrition will help anything. My sister had your problem with the bruising until I recommended my vitamin to her and now she only bruises when most people will. She also uses a cream (it's primary purpose is muscular healing/pain relief) that will prevent a bruise from coming up at all if she gets it on the site soon enough.
Hope I helped!

I would concur with Brandy..maybe the extra iron. Have you been tested for anemia? I too get crazy bruises and also never know where they came from and I'm borderline anemic, so that has a lot to do with it. I would say get your levels tested and/or take iron supplements, but talk to your doctor.
I have always bruised easily myself. Sometimes I feel like if I look at a table corner wront I’ll get a bruise! :) It wouldn't hurt to check out your iron levels etc. however I just think some people bruise more than others. It seems to run in my family. My mom bruises easily as well. Have you ever considered trying arnica cream? It can help minimize the bruising and make them go away faster. You can get it at Sprouts. I've always found the people in Sprouts (or at least the one I go to on Higley and Southern) to be very knowledgeable and they could probably help you find a product that's best for you.
I bruise very easy and my doctor told me to watch the Ibuprofen (sp?) He said taking a lot of it causes this.
Have you had a blood count, including a platelet count? There is an autoimmune disorder called ITP (low platelet count) that can cause bruising. I've had ITP for years, and during my pregnancy my platelets were good, until near the end, when they dropped. You can find more info at www.pdsa.org.
Ok, maybe you are anemic. Take iron pills. Also, it is possible that if you were taking prenatal pills that that helped you more than being pregnant. If you don't take prenatal pills the baby could take everything from you and leave you vitamin deficiant. Which....I never took prenatal pills consistantly and my skin was amazing. Try taking the prenatal pills for a couple of months, I bet it will help with the bruising. Keep me posted.
