Hello moms, we have 3 suitcases that are in great condition, but each one has a broken zipper. The zipper "base" is fine - it is the handle of the zipper that broke off on all 3, making it very difficult to zipper and unzipper the suitcases. Does anyone know where I can take the suitcases to get the zippers fixed? The only place I can think of is a taylor. Thanks for your help!

What can I do next?

You can use a safety pin or a shoestring. On suitcases shoestrings are easier to work.

Dry cleaners usually have seamstresses and possibly they could fix it, or maybe a shoe repair place. I've done the paperclip thing, too.

It's the tab that's broken off the base, right?
Most people replace the tab with a paper clip.
if you're worried it'll snag anything you can wrap a little tape around it.
I've never used this thing but maybe you could try it:
