When I do cut them up, I place them in the veggie keeper bags or just plain ziplocks.

I had romaine lettuce in Veggie bags with a paper towel for over 3 weeks.. and they were beautiful. No waste.

I wash and cut as soon as I get home from the market. I almost always freeze my veggies in Zip-lock freezer bags until use - this helps the veggies keep their nutrients. Don't do this with broccoli if you like to eat it raw because it makes it a little limp after defrosting - but it is fine if you cook with it.

I also do this with any fruit that doesn't fit in the fruit bowl - and it makes for great quick smoothies in the morning for all of us!

Hope this helps!

I wash the veggies in advance. I only chop the peppers so that my hubby can take them in his lunch. So we place in zip locks.

I keep them in snack size ziploc bags.... so I can just grab and go on my way out the door.

Also - I bought a plastic knife.... which I think keeps the veggies from turning brown as quick.

I use either ziplock bags or Glad or Ziploc brand plastic ware. The key isn't the container as much as the veggie -- broccoli, carrots and some others keep well after being cut but other, softer ones like zucchini or eggplant wouldn't keep well, I'm sure. I also don't keep them a whole week -- I do maybe a few days in advance.

We use Pryex. I line the bottom of a large one with a paper towel and pile them in. They keep really well.

They will keep longer if you don't cut them up. I do understand that it's easier just to do a lot at the same time and very often you don't have time during the week.

I bought some of those "as seen on tv" green plastic containers. They do work. The best is to put them in a zip lock bag and squeeze out as much air as possible. I don't like the zipper type with the little tab as they're not air tight.

I dont' think its the tupperware, some cut up well and last and some don't. Sometimes I use Tupperware, sometimes ziplock bags.
