Bra Consultant/advice

I haven't bought myself a new bra since I seem to have shrunk when I weaned last. I'm wondering where I can go (store) to have some help fitting without feeling obligated to pay a lot of money for the bra in the end. I might be interested in trying to boost one size up, get my shape back.

The best fittings I've gotten were at Nordstrom's. They really knew their stuff. I did buy a bra there for about $35, and it was so wonderful I went back for another.

The worst fitting ever was at Victoria's Secret. They refused to admit that they did not sell a size that would fit me and tried to fudge me into one of their sizes. Then they wanted to tell me it was my fault that it didn't fit.

Nordstrom. Can be hit or miss depending on who you get but I think they have pretty decent standards for their staff to make sure you get a good fit. Make sure you tell them your budget so they can steer you in the right direction, otherwise, of course they'll give you the most expensive :) I have to say, I've invested in expensive bras and find it well worth it. I figure, it's something you wear every day, it should be worth a few bucks right? Also, buy a minimum of 2 so you can alternate days of wearing to let them 'reshape'. I buy Le Mystere. They are pricey ($60+) unless they're on sale or at Nordstrom Rack for around $30. Good luck mama - you're 'girls' deserve a good fit! :)

Nordstroms, but you can wait for a sale! Usually mid-season they have big "clearance" sales!

Macy's is pretty good as well and there is ALWAYS a 20% off coupon floating around somewhere.

Just call ahead and make sure the consultant is there and find out if you need an appointment!

I go to Neiman's or Nordstroms. Great service and the reps know what they are doing.

I am a perky natural 34DD on a size 2 petite body so I have to have help.

My favorite brand is Wacoal and they run about $60+ each but WORTH it.

You can also get a good fitting at Dillards and Macy's.

Good luck

There is a Hanes/Bali/Playtex store in the Arizona Mills Tempe mall. You can get decent bras for about $16.00 each. The ladies will measure you, but there is not pressure. And there are loads of different brands and styles to try on.

Another vote for Nordstrom. If you end up with an obscure size as I did, they are well stocked, too. Also recommend watching for their big sale for deals.

I second the Wacoal brand of bras. And I'm a 36B (almost B) so this brand obviously works well for a wide range of sizes. A little more expensive but worth it!

What's near you? Macy's can measure you.
Also, I think people forget just how MUCH lingerie J C Penney carries!

Victoria Secret helped me, but then I'm not well endowed especially since I recently weaned my third child. I didn't feel pressured to buy, but I did find a bra that fitted well and was affordable. Looking at other posts, maybe I'll give Nordstrom a try during a sale.
