What type/brand of bra would you recommend using after the season of breast feeding is finished? I need something that is preferably mid price range, not underwire, and lends sufficient support, without stretching out quickly....hopefully a bra like this actually exists :D

What can I do next?

I would stay with your bf bras for a few months after you ween to give your body time to adjust and decide what size its going to end at. Then you can go to any dept store: Lane Bryant, Nordstroms, Macy's and get a bra fitting.

I was a bra fitter at Penney's for 3 yrs. Penney's has well trained bra fitters as does Layne Bryant. It depends upon your size of what will work best for you. If you have an issue with the wires poking you then the band is too small. I recommend getting a fitting and then finding a good bra that fits. Remember though that bras are like shoes, not every bra in the size you normally wear is going to fit. If you like a certain brand but they are a bit pricey, look on the clearance rack. I buy about 90% of my bras off rhe clearance rack.

Nordstroms and Neimans are known for good bra specialists to help you get the right fit.

Get a good fitting to know what size you are and realize you may fluctuate a while.

I did not BF, I am a 34DD, natural perky and I want a good foundation bra to help keep me perky. THankfully I was blessed with good genes.

My go to bra is Wacoal. They have several styles and I wear the racer back one which is not a "granny bra" at all. I don't like any extra lining, padding, etc, just comfy material. I love these bras. I think they are $40-$60 range and I buy a couple new ones a year. Wash in cold water and hang to dry!

Good luck.

I have bought all my bras at lane Bryant the past 15 years. I still have one of my original ones and the other 3 I have bought over that time frame are still in rather good condition. Of course the older ones are worn and offer less support but I wear those with certain casual clothes or when I am cleaning houses.

I get the Cacique bras. They have a band around the bottom and seem to be very supportive.

This bra fits down to a size 14 so I don't know if that would be too big around for you or the cup sizes to large but it might give you some key phrases or words to google to find similar bras in the smaller sizes.

I wash mine on hot water and dry on perma press or high. They still are just fine. I don't do anything special with them.

After I was done, I went to SOMA to have them measure me. (I had stayed the same band size but had gone up 2 cup sizes, when I thought I had gone up 2 band sizes and stayed the same cup size!) Anyway, they have many options there, some of which are wire-free. My SOMA bras last several years (I don't put them in the dryer, though).
